BUILDING THE MCKINLEY MONUMENT – Tuesday, August 8, 2:00-3:00 p.m. See how the McKinley Monument was built over 100 years ago for President William McKinley. McKinley Museum Education Director Christopher Kenney presents. For children in grade 2 and up.
BUILD A BETTER WORLD THROUGH CONSERVATION – Friday, August 11, 2:00-3:00 p.m. Learn how children are saving wildlife and helping with conservation efforts around the world. McKinley Museum Science Director Lynette Reiner will be our guide. For children in grade 2 and up.
SUPER READER – June-August. Pick up a family “Super Reader” card at Main, Branch or Bookmobile. Each CHILD BOOK ITEM (including audiobooks) checked out receives one stamp. Each completed card (with 50 stamps) may be turned in at any location for a chance to win that month’s prize of $50.00 in paperback books. You may enter multiple times each month. All completed cards will be eligible for a grand prize drawing of $100.00 in paperback books.
