Teens who have an interest in writing are encouraged to join Rodman Public Library for the Teen Writing Club that meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month in the Conference Room. Teens, 12-18, can sign up at Rodman Public Library to participate in an ongoing series of "one-shot" Dungeons and Dragons missions every month. Players do not have to play consistently each month to participate.

Those interested can sign up via our online calendar on a month-to-month basis. Space will be limited each month to six players. A DnD Beyond account and email address is required to play.

The library will show Spider-Man:: Across the Spider-Verse, a 2023 animated superhero film based on Marvel Comics characters.

The film is rated PG and runs 2 hours and 20 minutes.

No registration is required for the all-ages event. Children under 13 must be accompanied by a caregiver.

The film is free and freshly popped popcorn will be provided thanks to Friends of Rodman Public Library. 

The library will show The Little Mermaid, a 2023 musical romance fantasy that is a live-action adaptation of a 1989 animated film of the same name that was based on an 1837 fairy tale.

The film is rated PG and runs 2 hours and 15 minutes.

Rodman Public Library's monthly Kids Crafting program continues at 4 p.m. Thursday, September 14 when children, ages 7-12, are invited to come to the Main Library to create a fall macram wall hanging. All materials used during monthly kids crafting programs are provided for free thanks to the Friends of Rodman Public Library. Registration is required at rodmanlibrary.evanced.info/signup. Kids who like building with blocks won't want to miss Lego Lab at Rodman Public Library.

The program, intended for children ages 6-12, will debut on Wednesday, September 13 from 6 to 7 p.m.

Are you ready for some video game football?

All gamers, ages 10 to 18, are invited to participate in a Madden Tournament on Thursday, September 7 from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

Head-to-head games will be played on the PS5 or Xbox Series X and will feature three-minute quarters on all pro difficulty.
