There's lots for kids to do this fall at Rodman Public Library.
A Magic Show, Lego and Kids Crafting programs, and of course the Kids Book Club are all on the schedule as well as three of Rodman Public Library’s favorite children’s programs for the little ones -- including Wee Read, Family Fun Night and Storytime.
And much more.
Are you a fan of Pokémon?
Do you have some ideas for characters?
Are you a kid that’s 7-12 years old?
If you answered yes to all three of those questions, Rodman Public Library is the place you need to be from 4 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, September 21.
Hot Pots Storytime is back.
Two sessions will be held in September with pumpkins being the theme, including Wednesday, September 20 at 6:30 p.m. and another on Saturday, September 23 at 11 a.m.
It’s never a bad time to talk about safety.
Rodman Public Library will give teens, ages 12-18, the opportunity to learn how to be mindful of dangerous situations as well as the tactics to use if they find themselves in such circumstances during a two-hour self-defense and awareness seminar on Tuesday, September 19.
Calling all book lovers!
The Teen Book Club at Rodman Public Library is regrouping following a summer hiatus.
All teens, ages 12-18, are invited to join the club, which is just for teens. The first meeting will be held Monday, September 18 at 4 p.m.
Maker Monday crafters will have the opportunity to revisit some old projects when they meet Monday, September 18 at 6 p.m. in Rodman Public Library’s Main Auditorium.

Rodman Public Library’s monthly Kids Crafting program continues at 4 p.m. Thursday, September 14 when children, ages 7-12, are invited to come to the Main Library to create a fall macramé wall hanging. All materials used during monthly kids crafting programs are provided for free thanks to the Friends of Rodman Public Library. Registration is required.
Kids who like building with blocks won’t want to miss Lego Lab at Rodman Public Library.
The program, intended for children ages 6-12, will debut on Wednesday, September 13 from 6 to 7 p.m.
Rodman Public Library will screen The Little Mermaid, a 2023 musical romance fantasy that is a live-action adaptation of a 1989 animated film of the same name that was based on an 1837 fairy tale.
The film is rated PG and runs 2 hours and 15 minutes.
No registration is required for the all-ages event. Children under 13 must be accompanied by a caregiver.
