- San Diego Zoo
- Here you can find amazing videos, as well as live cams of many of the animals at this zoo.
- Pittsburgh Zoo
- The Pittsburgh Zoo has set up an entire page with activities created by their staff while the zoo is closed called “Bringing the Zoo to You”.
- Cincinnati Zoo
- The Cincinnati Zoo is offering “Home Safari Resources” while the zoo is closed, and a “Home Safari” on Facebook Live every day at 3:00 p.m. If you don’t have social media, it will be posted to their YouTube channel shortly after the Facebook Live ends.
- Yellowstone National Park
- Kids can take a virtual field trip, and there is a library of sounds from the park, where you can listen to anything from animals to geysers to snowmobiles! There is lots to explore.
- NASA Science: Mars Curiosity Rover
- There is all kinds of information about Mars and the Curiosity mission here. There are also lots of videos that you can watch to learn more, including videos with 360-degree views of Mars!
- Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex
- Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoon, pre-recorded educational videos will be published by the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, which you can watch on their Facebook page. In addition, there are many available educator resources.
- COSI (Center of Science and Industry)
- Every day, COSI is providing hands-on science through videos that you can try with your family at home.
- FarmFood 360
- There are 11 virtual tours of farms available on this site, from minks and cows to apples and oats. All of the virtual tours give you 360-degree views.
- Discovery Education Virtual Field Trips
- Many excellent virtual field trips are available on a variety of subjects, including agriculture, manufacturing, the natural world, science/STEM, and sports.
- The Wilderness Center
- This nature center located in Wilmot, Ohio, is offering weekly videos and activities.
- Back to the Wild, Inc.
- This licensed wildlife rehabilitation and education center in Northwest Ohio is creating educational videos on their Facebook page every weekday.
- The Louvre
- You can take virtual tours of this world-famous art museum, and learn more about the various works of art found in the Louvre’s collection. You can even get a closer look at the Mona Lisa.
- The Big List of Children’s Authors Doing On-line Read-Alouds & Activities
- This is exactly what it sounds like- authors offering read-alouds of their books, as well as books by their favorite authors!
- Story Time from Space
- This is a project of the Global Space Education Foundation. They send books to the International Space Station, and astronauts record themselves reading these books from space.
