Calling all genealogists and historians.
Rodman Public Library has a new database that will aid in your research – HeritageHub.
An addition to NewsBank, HeritageHub allows you to explore your family history with a premier collection of U.S. obituaries and death notices from across the country for in-depth genealogical research from 1704 to the present. HeritageHub helps you easily identify relatives, uncover new information and potentially unknown family members. The database includes deep coverage from all 50 states, hard-to-find content from the mid-1900s, and original obituary images.
Best of all, it’s free and access is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week from the comfort of your own home.
As an added bonus, those using HeritageHub can also create a personal folder in order to save searches, making research easier and more productive.
In all, Rodman Public Library offers access to more than 75 databases in several different categories. There is no charge to use any of the databases, but some may require an active library card and a PIN, which is usually the last four digits of a phone number Rodman Library has on file, to log in.
To gain access to RPL’s databases, hover on the Find Information tab in the blue navigation bar underneath the library logo. Click on Research Databases, which is the first category on the drop down menu. From there, patrons can search by category and all databases are listed alphabetically.
