Virtual Dungeons and Dragons 08/4 & 8/11
Have you ever wanted to go on a quest to defeat a monster or explore a dungeon? Teens, 12-18, can join us virtually to learn how to play “Dungeons and Dragons.” On Tuesday, August 4 from 3 to 5 p.m., teens can join us via a Zoom meeting to create their characters. Teens must have a Gmail or Twitch account in order to create a character via https://www.dndbeyond.com/. Then, on Tuesday, August 11, from 3 to 6 p.m. teens will participate in a D&D campaign with their created characters via a second Zoom meeting. Space is limited to six participants and two alternates and registration is required. To sign up, email your name, age, and Gmail account information to firstname.lastname@example.org or call 330-821-2665 ext. 211. Once you are registered, we will send you the links to join the Zoom meetings.
Take and Make Fantasy Garden Craft 08/10
Starting Monday, August 10, teens, 12 -18, can stop by the Reference Department at the Main Library to pick up a fantasy garden “take and make” craft. All supplies for the craft will be included as well as step-by-step instructions for constructing the craft. A how-to tutorial video will also be available for teens to watch via our YouTube channel. Supplies are limited and will be given out at a first come first served basis. For more information, call 330-821-2665 ext. 211.
Virtual Writing Club 08/12 & 8/16
Creative ideas flowing? Join us for an online Teen Writing Club that will meet on Wednesdays at 4 p.m. The next meetings are August 12 and 26. To sign up, teens need to email email@example.com with their name, age and Gmail account. Because we will be meeting via Google Hangout, teens must have a Gmail account to participate. An invitation to join the meeting will be sent to the email address the teen has provided. Any teen, age 12-18, can join. Have fun meeting virtually with your fellow teen writers to exchange ideas, hone your skills and share your work.
Virtual Teen Book Club 08/17
Are you a teen who loves to read? Join us for the online Teen Book Club that meets once a month on Mondays at 4 p.m. The next meeting will be on August 17 and the selected title will be Geekerella by Ashley Poston. Copies are available at the Main Library or digitally through the Ohio Digital Library (Libby App). We will be using Google Hangout as our meeting site.
