Harry Paidas will be the featured speaker at the Alliance Historical Society’s annual meeting, Monday, Nov. 22, at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium of Rodman Public Library.

The program will begin with a brief business meeting to elect board members for the coming year. Attendance is limited to 65 people. Please register to reserve your seat. The program will also be shared via Facebook Live.

Paidas has completed the third volume on the history of University of Mount Union, titled Make the Echoes Roll. He will share his research during his presentation. Paidas' work continues A Select School, by N. Yost Osborne and Wake the Echoes, by John Saffell. Paidas’ new volume covers 1996-2021, and is published on the occasion of UMU’s 175th anniversary. The book will be available in time for the holiday shopping season. The title Make the Echoes Roll, is a line from the Mount Union fight song.

In Make the Echoes Roll, Paidas recounts the major decisions and events that have shaped Mount Union during the past 25 years and the accomplishments of each of the presidents during that time frame.  A separate chapter is dedicated to the unprecedented success of the football program, which has produced national media coverage.
