Rodman Library recently implemented an automatic renewal system. Your checked out materials will be automatically renewed when a courtesy notice is sent via email or text message. This means that when your item is due, it will be automatically renewed for you.
Watch your favorite Acorn TV shows on hoopla. No DVDs to checkout, no overdue fines. All you need is a valid Rodman Library card and a device connected to the Internet.
Rodman Public Library recently collaborated with the City of Alliance to microfilm and digitize City Council minutes and ordinances dating from the incorporation of Alliance in 1854 through 1924. The 12,998 pages scanned are bound in large ledger books that measure up to 3” thick and 11” x 17”. They were sent to Backstage Library Works in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in late July for microfilming and digitization.
Rodman Public Library offers mobile WiFi HotSpot units and portable chargers for patrons’ use. Ten HotSpots have been acquired to check out and two portable chargers for in-library use. A mobile HotSpot allows the user to have on-the-go WiFi Internet access for up to 10 devices and may be borrowed for seven days.
Rodman Public Library's calendar of events offers direct registration for programs and classes that require it. When you register for an event, you can also request a reminder notification be sent to you via email or text message a day or two before the event. If a program is popular and there is a waiting list, the next person on the waiting list will be notified that they can attend if someone cancels.

United Way of Greater Stark County’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program is now scheduling drop-off appointments February through April for the 2020 tax return season.
Rodman Public Library will offer a variety of “take and make” craft bags for all ages during the month of March. These craft bags will include supplies to create the crafts as well as step-by-step instructions on how to create them.
