State Street, Alliance by either calling in or placing an order online at https://www.applebees.com or through the mobile app with the code DOINGOOD on Tuesday, May 25, from 11 a.m. to close. Orders must be carryout for 15% of the proceeds will be donated to the Friends of Rodman Public Library. Dine-in and delivery orders are not valid for this offer.

Rodman Public Library is partnering with the Alliance Historical Society to host a Freedom Trail Walk on Sunday, May 16 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The one mile walk will go from Rodman Public Library through the former village of Freedom to the Mabel Hartzell Historical Home along the Stark Parks Iron Horse Trail.

United Way of Greater Stark County’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program is now scheduling drop-off appointments February through April for the 2020 tax return season.

Starting Monday, January 4, kids, ages preschool through third grade, can stop by the Children’s Department at the Rodman Main Library to “adopt” a stuffed animal buddy to read to. Buddy bags will include a book buddy, an adoption certificate, a reading log, and several other surprises.

Rodman Main and Branch libraries will be closed Friday, January 1 through Sunday, January 3 for the holiday. Both locations will reopen on Monday, January 4 at 10:00 a.m.
