Rodman Main and Branch Libraries are now open for the following hours:
- Monday-Wednesday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Thursday & Friday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
In the interest of keeping all visitors and library staff as safe as possible, the following restrictions have been adopted:
Library users who have a fever or cough are asked to stay home and visit the library when these symptoms subside.
In response to the pandemic, the library staff are adhering to strict facility cleaning procedures. The staff is also required to wear face coverings, and will also be washing and sanitizing their hands frequently. Staff who show signs of illness will not be permitted to work until symptoms subside.
Due to Ohio's statewide mask mandate, all library users are required to wear face coverings. Disposable masks are available for those who do not have one.
All library users are asked to limit their time in the library to one hour. Library use is limited to the following purposes:
- Browsing and checking out materials
- Reading non-circulating publications
- Use of public computers, copiers, scanners, and fax machines
Computer use is limited to one hour. Library users may wish to reserve a time for the computer by calling 330.821.1313.
The Main Library will be limited to 50 visitors inside the building at one time. This includes no more than 15 visitors in the Children’s Department, 5 visitors in the Teen Room, and 30 visitors in the Adult and Reference Departments. The Branch Library will be limited to 20 visitors inside the building at one time.
Unfortunately, there will be no in-person programs, as the library cannot serve as a gathering place during this time. Much of the library’s furniture has been removed during this time to better allow for social distancing.
Patrons are asked to return all materials to the Main Library’s book return if possible. Materials returned to the Branch Library must be returned in the Branch book drop and not at the desk.
Returned items will remain on your library account for 5 days, as all library items are being quarantined before being checked in and shelved. Items returned during this time are not be subject to overdue fines.
Rodman Public Library and the Friends of Rodman Library are not accepting donated materials until further notice.
Patrons who do not wish to go inside the library are encouraged to continue to use the library’s digital services or use the curbside service available at the Main Library. Please call 330.821.2665 for more details.
